The Local Government Academy is an all-year-long educational programme addressed to representatives of local governments – local authorities of all levels. The Academy consists of conferences on local government issues, presentations of reports, media debates and specialised workshops. It aims to increase the knowledge of local government officials in the field of health policy, public service management and effective ways of implementing innovation. It serves as a platform for the exchange of experience, a place to establish relations between local government officials, politicians, business people and scientists.
Activities realized within the programme will increase the knowledge of local government representatives in the field of health, infrastructure, management of public services and cultural units and local economic development. Representatives of local governments will develop their competences in the field of leadership, implementation of innovations and application of effective decision-making processes and efficient management. Moreover, the Programme will constitute a unique platform for the exchange of experience, debate, meetings and establishment of relations between representatives of self-governments, the world of politics, business, science and the third sector.
The Financial Ranking of Local Governments in Poland is the only study in the country that covers all local government units. It is comprehensive, apolitical and objective, measured by up-to-date economic indicators.
